URBAN SCHOOL FOOD ALLIANCE
The New York City Department of Education, along with the Los Angeles Unified School District, Chicago Public Schools, Dallas Independent School District, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Broward County Public Schools in Fort Lauderdale, Clark County School District in Las Vegas, and Food Services for the School District of Philadelphia are members of the Urban School Food Alliance. The mission of the Alliance is to share best practices and use its purchasing power to continue to drive quality up and costs down while incorporating sound environmental practices. Collectively, the Alliance serves over 577,000,000 meals annually, 150 million of which are served in New York City.
